Legatia L1V2 (black) (also available in silver) |
Legatia L1The Legatia L1 is an incredibly small, compact, but robust and extremely natural sounding 20mm soft-dome tweeter. We are proud to be one of the very few speaker manufacturers that understand what it takes to build a car audio tweeter: we feel larger diaphragm tweeters sound heavy and unremarkable, lack detail in the upper treble frequencies, have undesirable polar response, and are extremely difficult to install. Additionally, we find metal dome tweeters to be harsh, brittle, and sound unrealistic. So we went the opposite direction with our Legatia L1 tweeter with a smaller package that is very easy to install, boasts a small diameter soft-dome diaphragm and a bit higher of resonant frequency for faithful reproduction of treble frequencies, can be listened to for hours without listener's fatigue, with incredibly good polar response. Tweeters were meant to play treble, and ours does it effortlessly, in a package that fits easily in the palm of your hand. Legatia L3The Legatia L3 is a very unique driver, and satisfies a need in the high-end car audio community for a small diameter, wide-bandwidth midrange driver. You can now put high-quality midrange ANYWHERE in your car! The Legatia L3 has an outstanding extended frequency response; the usable frequency range of this driver exceeds six octaves. With proper filtering, installation techniques, and tuning, this driver will effectively reproduce music tones from as low as 140 Hz to as high as 10,000 Hz at reference levels. Literally all that is needed to compliment this driver is a set of small diameter soft dome tweeters and a stout midbass driver, for the ultimate three-way front stage system (see here). The L3 has won numerous national- and world-championships in its short tenure on the market, and has already established itself as the best small-diameter midrange on the planet. Legatia L4The incredible new midrange solution from Hybrid Audio is the Legatia L4, an approximate four and a half inch cone midrange driver that boasts an even more impressive frequency response than its little brother, the Legatia L3. While the Legatia L3 offers several distinct benefits for certain installations, such as a-pillar, dashboard, or small/shallow kick panels, where shallow depth or small diameter is needed, the larger cone area and extended phase plug pole piece of the L4 is an even better wide-bandwidth midrange option for those with room to accommodate the larger midrange in the Legatia family. The Legatia L4 has an outstanding extended frequency response; the usable frequency range of this driver exceeds seven full octaves (yes, seven octaves!). With proper filtering, installation strategy, and tuning, this driver will effectively reproduce music tones from as low as 100 Hz to as high as 17,000 Hz. It is the ultimate point-source midrange driver. In certain installations and for certain listeners, a tweeter may be optional because the L4 plays to 17,000 Hz on axis with ease. Not only that, but paired with our L8 midbass/subwoofer, a clever installer might be able to get away with just a four-speaker front stage installation, with no dedicated subwoofers! A true two-way system! The L4 opens up a world of possibilities for point-source, phase, and tonally perfect front-stage installations. Legatia L6We're notably one of the bestmidrange producers in the world, and while everyone was raving about our wide-bandwidth Legatia L3 s, we built what has quietly become the best wide-bandwidth car audio midbass/midrange units available today as well! The incredible L6 midbass/midrange is an exceptional solution for installers and enthusiasts, and provides the midbass and midrange foundation for our high-end two-way systems, as well as a dedicated midbass in ourthree-way systems. The Legatia L6 once again has an outstanding extended frequency response; the usable frequency range of this driver once again exceeds six complete octaves of usable bandwidth (50 Hz 5,000 Hz). The midbass and upper sub bass extension of this driver is absolutely incredible. This means that the L6 is equally at home being a midrange driver as it is a midbass driver. Legatia L8The Legatia L8 is a triumph for Hybrid Audio, as we once again bring a product to the market that is needed and desired by enthusiasts, competitors, and installers. We can't tell you how many times we've been asked to build a large format 8 infinite baffle midwoofer here it is! Feast your eyes on one of the newest product within the Legatia series, the L8 infinite baffle midwoofer. The L8 was specifically built to give an up-front subwoofer and midwoofer option for doors, floor boards, and kick panels. We designed this driver so that, in the right installation, there would be no necessity for additional, larger subwoofers in an audiophile system played at reference levels. The Legatia L8 subwoofer has a slightly more limited bandwidth than that of its sibling L6, but that's because we wanted to extract as much sub bass and midbass performance out of this design as possible. Even still, when paired with aLegatia L1 Pro tweeter, a dedicated and super high-quality two-way front stage system can be assembled! In a car environment, a pair of L8 s will fill the cabin with sub bass, if installed properly! Visit our Download Site for more information about the Legatia L8 8-inch midwoofer/subwoofer |

Legatia Pro L1 TweeterThe Legatia Pro Series builds on the success of the original Legatia series. Under the guidance of industry stalwart and multiple expert world championship car audio competitor and speaker engineer, Scott Buwalda, this series is the culmination of 20 years of car audio research and development, resulting in the ultimate masterpiece of mobile audio. The Legatia Pro line is for the most discerning audiophile, adopting several principles from the Legatia series, and will expand the technology even further with the highest level of materials science and total quality engineering. The Pro Series starts with an incredible new tweeter that is available right now. The Legatia L1 Pro Series tweeter boasts a larger diaphragm and lower resonance frequency for use in large midbass two-way systems, and incorporation with other manufacturer's products that do not offer a wide-bandwidth midrange design. The L1 Pro tweeter sets the benchmark for tuned-chamber car audio tweeters. We are already in the design and prototyping process for the Legatia Pro L6 midbass. Legatia Pro L1 SE TweeterThe Legatia Pro L1 SE is a limited-edition, super high-end mobile audio tweeter based upon the architecture of the original and highly-acclaimed Hybrid Audio Technologies Legatia L1 Pro transducer. At the onset of the Legatia Pro-Series program, we wanted to be sure that the Pro-Series tweeter could be listened to for long listening sessions with no noticeable listener fatigue, and the Pro L1 answered the call. The Pro L1 SE is an advancement of the original Legatia L1 Pro design, boasting a radiator ring diaphragm for exceptional polar response and an even broader frequency response, and lower resonance frequency than the original L1 Pro. The Legatia Pro L1 SE is ring radiator tweeter that has superior damping and extended frequency response. The Pro L1 SE is a light and transiently fast tweeter in a 25mm body that doesn't t suffer from typical heaviness in tonal quality, typically associated with damped, large-diameter dome tweeters; the L1 Pro SE can be used for the reproduction of upper midrange and treble frequencies in dedicated two-, three-, and four-way front stage systems. The Pro L1 SE has exceptional polar response, and remains small enough to install in typical locations within a vehicular environment. The Pro L1 SE is the new benchmark for radiator ring diaphragm tweeters. |

Legatia L2x Vertically-Biamplified Passive CrossoverThe new vertically biamplified Legatia L2x passive crossovers have been specifically designed to work with any wide-bandwidth Hybrid Audio Technologies midrange, such as the Legatia L3, Legatia L4, Legatia L6, Clarus C5, or Clarus C6. The crossover filters are also amenable to your choice of Legatia tweeter, whether it be the Legatia L1V2, the Legatia L1 Pro, or the Legatia L1 Pro SE, or the Clarus C1 tweeter. The L2x crossovers are an attractive, high-performance filter set that contains hand-matched, high quality low tolerance parts, such as metalized polypropylene capacitors, air core low ESR inductors, and low tolerance ceramic resistors (for tweeter attenuation via the L-pad). Also included is an industry-standard tweeter protection circuit to defend the Legatia tweeters from being over-driven, or from faulty amplifier circuitry and extreme input voltage. The circuit board is a double-sided design with nickel-plated spring-loaded terminals for ease of installation and adjustment of tweeter attenuation. The circuitry is protected in a handsome ABS plastic case, which contains a clear acrylic cover to view the circuitry, all of which is a proprietary Hybrid Audio Technologies design. The L2x is a good solution for Legatia and/or Clarus two-way systems using a midrange and tweeter, or for three-way systems where the midbass is actively crossed over at the amplifier, and the midrange and tweeter need to be passively crossed-over. |
